Playground violence
If any kids qualify for an ASBO, it's these. Armed with bazookas and holding swords to each other's throats, these angelic-looking warriors exist (thankfully) in a virtual, freeze-framed playground created by Russian conceptual art group AES+F. Targeting our immunity to such perverse sights, the artists have fashioned a child's fantasy war zone out of the tropes of Western culture - hiring teens from professional model agencies, lifting their postures from classical paintings, using locations straight out of Star Wars, dousing the whole thing with digital effects and using computer-games such as Action Half Life as references. According to these apocalyptic visions of blase Hollywood heroism and sanitised violence, the future's looking grim indeed.
