Fashion photography double bill

As London Fashion Week springs into action, it's little wonder that galleries are following suit with a slew of exhibitions of fashion photography. Two eye-catching shows are Documenting Style and 50 Years Of Italian Style. The former is from the photojournalism agency Magnum and makes a good fist of their less well-known flirtation with the world of mode and models. Images range from 1940s prim to the sultry work of Ferdinando Scianna and Bruce Gilden. The latter is a similarly eclectic time-capsule of 50 original-format tearsheets from Vogue Italia and allied magazines. Fabulous stuff.
