Riot police force protesters back from the Greek parliament during a demonstration against new austerity measures in Athens. Thousands of demonstrators clashed with police as the Greek parliament voted on a new and deeply unpopular European Union and International Monetary Fund-backed austerity deal to secure a €130 billion bailout. Despite the violence, looting and arson outside, MPs voted in favour of the measures.
