NEW YORK, FRIDAY: People look on following a shootout near the Empire State Building. A laid-off clothing designer, 58-year-old Jeffrey Johnson, killed his former manager before being shot dead by police. At least nine others were wounded, some of them possibly shot by police as they fired at the gunman.
