This image of white-tailed deer at night secured Tommy Vikars the prize of GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year. The competition, featuring stunning images of animals from both land and sea, is now in its 12th year. The GDT (Society of German Nature Photographers) received almost 12,500 entries by photographers from 27 countries.
