Women bishops: Five in the wings - pictures

Rose Hudson-Wilkin is one of the leading contenders to become the Church of England's first female bishop and like many in the church will be anxiously awaiting the outcome of today's vote on the introduction of female bishops by the General Synod. The Guardian describes 51-year-old Hudson-Wilkin, the first black female chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons, as “articulate and charismatic”.
