Michael Gambon tucks into the roasted corpse of his wife's lover in The Cook the Thief His Wife & Her Lover from 1989 – one of the most controversial films to come before the British Board of Film Classification which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this week. Peter Greenaway's film was eventually passed uncut by the BBFC, but given an 18 certificate.
