Even the Queen has travelled on the London Underground. Here she rides on the newly opened Victoria Line in 1969. The Tube is something of a magnet for the rich and famous. Last year pop star Rihanna travelled to a show at the O2 on the Jubilee Line, England football manager Roy Hodgson gave away tactical secrets to passengers on his way to Wembley and Olympians found time during the 2012 Games to take a ride on the network, sometimes showing off their medals to commuters.
