London Mayor Boris Johnson opened the public viewing gallery at the Shard, the tallest building in Europe, with the developer Irvine Sellar (left) and architect Renzo Piano (right). Tickets to The View don't come cheap: it costs £24.95 for an adult and £18.95 for children.
