View from the Shard: London's tallest building opens - pictures

The public viewing platform in London's Shard skyscraper has been officially opened. The View, as it is known, takes up floors 68 to 72 of the 310m-high building, which is the tallest in Europe. The open-air gallery on level 72 is the second-highest vantage point in Western Europe after the Eiffel Tower in Paris and stands 244m above the city.
