WORLD CUP BOSS DEMANDED KNIGHTHOODSources close to the team who put together England's failed bid to host the 2018 World Cup say Nicolas Leoz, the Fifa representative for Paraguay demanded a knighthood in return for his vote, the Sunday Times claims. A Commons inquiry this week is likely to hear that at least five demands for bribes were made during the bid.
