The Wulugu Project
Improving lives in remote northern Ghana by educating women and girls
Working for 20 years in partnership with the poorest and most neglected communities in remote northern Ghana, we improve lives by enabling tens of thousands of girls and women to have appropriate education. The Wulugu Project is looked on as the most effective education-based NGO in the region. It is respected for its values and grass-roots effectiveness, and operates entirely through local volunteers. We are known for having nothing to do with corruption and for ensuring that 99p from every pound is transferred into projects that actually work. We have re-opened/re-built 40 derelict schools for a quarter of the cost that others pay. We need help to build a hostel for girls returning from slavery to our sixth vocational school.
