DAKTARI Bush School

DAKTARI Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage is a non-profit organisation based near Hoedspruit in the Limpopo province of South Africa. It is a bush school where the objective is
to educate our local underprivileged children to care for their environment through the medium of a wildlife orphanage. Sadly, people from the local community suffer from the lack of access to their rich South African natural heritage even though they live right next to private game reserves. Many have never seen an impala or giraffe! This means that the children are not aware of the urgent necessity to preserve the environment and wildlife. Therefore, DAKTARI wishes to give them the opportunity to better know the area they live in, improve their quality of life, and increase the community vitality and the sense of responsibility.
