War Child

Protecting children in some of the world's most dangerous countries

LAST UPDATED AT 14:23 ON Thu 4 Oct 2012

War Child is a small international charity that protects children from the brutal effects of war and its consequences. We currently work in Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Iraq and Uganda. We¹re on the ground supporting the most vulnerable children who are too often forgotten in the aftermath of conflict. War Child offers them access to quality education, provides families with sustainable livelihoods to increase their income and enabling them to improve the well-being of family members. And War Child improves protection for children making sure structures are in place to prevent and respond to abuse, neglect, violence and exploitation of children and young people.
