Dedicated to funding pioneering research to prevent sight loss and treat eye disease

LAST UPDATED AT 13:49 ON Thu 25 Oct 2012

Fight for Sight is the UK's leading charity dedicated to funding pioneering research to prevent sight loss and treat eye disease. An estimated 1.8 million people in the UK are living with sight loss, and this figure is predicted to increase dramatically. Fight for Sight¹s current research programme is focused on bringing an end to the leading causes of sight loss, such as age-related macular degeneration and glaucoma, as well as the prevention of childhood blindness and a large number of rare eye diseases. With a number of different therapies in development, it's an exciting time for eye research - but there is still so much more to do.
