Working with families to deliver home-based therapy to help children with disabilities

LAST UPDATED AT 11:16 ON Fri 7 Jun 2013

Since 1982, Brainwave has worked with families to deliver individual home-based therapy and exercise programmes that help children with disabilities and developmental delay to achieve their potential. This could be anything from a child walking or feeding themselves, to counting or forming sentences. We employ a range of therapists including occupational therapists, physiotherapists and educationalists, enabling us to take a holistic approach. We are an independent charity that receives no Government funding. The programme is based on the theory of neuroplasticity and covers physical, educational and social abilities. It aims to help the brain find new pathways in the "neural network" by providing regular repetition of newly acquired skills. To find out more please ring 01278-429089 or visit
