Rock and royalty

As its brattish title suggests, I Want It All is an exhibition that aims to cater for London’s most demanding punters. And if big names are what you’re after – on both sides of the lens - then it certainly delivers. Pop idols, movie stars, celebrity chefs and even Her Majesty the Queen feature in this collection of images, as does a host of famed photographers past and present, including the late Bob Carlos Clarke, Sixties veteran Terry O’Neill and modern artist Chris Levine.

 

Ideal women: do not touch

Bob Carlos Clarke was an obsessive man. Attention-seeking and depressive, he was notoriously intense in work, life and relationships. Despite being hailed as the British Helmut Newton, he continually doubted his own talent. Perhaps inevitably, he strolled out of The Priory clinic one morning in March 2006 and threw himself under a train. His pictures tell us something of all this turmoil.
