Etienne Clement is a grown man in his mid-forties, but he still plays with toys - in the name of art. He uses the tacky, mass-produced plastic figurines from his childhood to populate the miniature theatre-lands that he constructs in his east-London studio, and through these he tells a series of dark and peculiar tales. The childish paraphernalia, the pink froth and fairytale castles are all red herrings of course.
