Sony PSP Go

The most hardcore handheld games console around

Dramatic hardware revision to the PSP has been a long time coming, so with a new slider design, the PSP Go resolves four years of stretched stitching. Underneath, it's the same spec as the PSP-3000 but, by lopping off the ends and ditching UMD discs for 16GB of internal memory, it's 50 per cent smaller and 40 per cent lighter. Games come via download – easier than carrying them around with you – and Bluetooth is a new feature. Sure, without improved graphics or touchscreen action, it wasn't the evolution we were praying for, but it's still the most hardcore handheld games console around. ·
