Flip Mino HD: pocket-sized perfection

Camcorders shouldn't be able to fit in your pocket, should they? And yet the Flip Mino HD shoots at 720p and is just 16mm deep. It's a great performer, with accurate colours and sharp details. You can even use it in low light, where many camcorders fail, and it has editing software built-in. The USB connector is a fixture, so there's no hunting for - or losing - cables. There are some gripes: no zoom lens, a small 1.5in screen and no HDMI. The Creative Vado HD offers marginally more, but at £170 this wonderful little HD shooter is a bargain. ·
