American family fly in from Oklahoma after Janee Parsons is found dead following family row

A POST-MORTEM carried out yesterday has confirmed that Janee Parsons, a young American mother-of-two living in the Oxfordshire market town of Bicester, died of multiple stab wounds, the Oxford Mail reports.

Police are questioning a man, but have not revealed his identity. According to The Times, he is Janee Parsons's husband Andrew.

The couple's two sons, aged five and eight, are to be cared for by the victim's father and sister, who are flying in from their home in Yukon, Oklahoma.

Shocked neighbours called police on Saturday morning when they heard screams coming from the Parsons' home in Lucerne Avenue. The 31-year-old beauty therapist was found suffering from stab wounds. Paramedics were unable to revive her and she died at the scene.

Reports suggest the couple were involved in a row over family finances and that their two boys may have witnessed the incident.

Andrew Parsons is a 38-year-old heating engineer, The Daily Mail reports. He and his wife had moved to the Cotswolds from Oklahoma less than two years ago after selling Janee's spas business.

Neighbours say the couple have been under financial pressure and had recently established two businesses in an effort to make a living.

The victim's sister, Jocelyn Brady, said before leaving Oklahoma for Britain: "Everybody loved Janee. She was a very special person and very tenacious and she was my best friend."

Superintendent Andy Boyd of Thames Valley Police said: "I would like to offer the reassurance to residents and can say at this stage that this is not believed to be a random attack and we believe that the victim and the offender knew each other."
