Three-minute role-reversal video shows men how bad their chat-up lines really are

A COMIC video that gives men a taste of what it’s like to be a woman trying to enjoy a night out with friends has become an online hit with more than 2.2 million viewers.
The three-minute role-reversal film shows the women drinking too much, trying out cheesy chat-up lines and pinching men’s bottoms, while the men try to fend them off, preferring to talk to their pals.

American director Jay Diaz made the slick-looking film The Flip Side (Bar). It starts with two girls, clearly the worse for wear, trying to get into a club. When a good-looking man walks straight in, the girls complain loudly.

Once inside, one woman asks a man whether the key around his neck is “the key to his heart”. Another says: “Those are really nice jeans. But you know what, they'd look better on my kitchen floor.” The men look appropriately disgusted.

When a girl attempts to talk to three cocktail-sipping men she is told: “I don't mean to be rude, you seem like a nice person, but we just want to catch up. We haven't seen each other for like six months.”

Needless to say, it all ends up back at a woman’s flat the morning after, with a man slinking out of the house holding his shoes and looking embarrassed.
