Dennis Rodman says Kim Jong-un is a 'friend for life' - video
Ex NBA star raves about second trip to N Korea, but loses temper when asked about US 'hostage' Kenneth Bae
EDITOR'S NOTE: Since this story was published Dennis Rodman has announced he will train the North Korean basketball team for the next Olympics.
THE 'bromance' between former US basketball star Dennis Rodman and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un continues to flourish.
Rodman arrived back on US soil after his second trip to the pariah state with a head full of memories and a fistful of happy snaps. He told reporters that Jong-un was "a friend for life" and let slip to The Guardian that the name of the dictator's new baby daughter is Ju-ae.
Rodman said he had spent a relaxing time with Jong-un, his wife Sol Ju Ri and baby Ju-ae at "the sea". He praised Jong-un's parenting skills and said the North Korean despot had a "beautiful family".
Sadly, the happy mood evaporated when Rodman was asked about Kenneth Bae, the American citizen who has been held in North Korea since November. Rodman had promised to push for Bae's release during his second visit to Pyongyang. But when reporters asked about the matter, the ex-NBA star erupted.
"Ask Obama, ask Hilary Clinton … ask those assholes," he yelled. Rodman is due back in North Korea in December. ·
