Breaking Bad creator: 'stop throwing pizza at Walter's house'

Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan has condemned fans for throwing pizzas on to the roof of the New Mexico home used as protagonist Walter White's house in the hit series.

The Daily Telegraph reports that Gilligan made the comments during a podcast about his new series, Better Call Saul.

He urged Breaking Bad fans to be respectful when visiting the Albuquerque house now famous as the home of the White family.

While most fans are well-behaved and just want to take photos of the property, Gilligan said, the situation has recently deteriorated.

"Lately, we're hearing from the owner that folks are wandering on to her house, and are being rude to her when she comes out and says 'you're on my property'," added Gilligan.

"They are throwing pizzas on roofs and stuff like that. Let me tell you, there is nothing original or funny or cool about throwing a pizza on this lady's roof. It is just not funny. It's been done before. You are not the first."

Jonathan Banks, who plays hitman Mike Ehrmantraut in Breaking Bad, added: "If I catch you doing it, I will hunt you down."

It appears the pizza-throwing 'fans' are trying to recreate a scene from the third series of Breaking Bad in which Walter has a confrontation with his wife Skyler and she slams the door in his face. In frustration, Walter throws the pizza he is carrying on to the garage roof.

But Gilligan said of those who have thrown pizzas: "I don't love those fans. I don't even consider 'em fans. I consider 'em jagoffs."

Actor Dean Norris, who played Hank Schrader in Breaking Bad, previously warned fans about pizza-throwing in December 2012, reports the Daily Mail.

Norris uploaded a photograph of himself posing with homeowners Frances and Louie Padilla to Twitter.

The caption read: "Real owners of Walts house No they don't cook meth Yes they will kick your ass. If u throw another pizza on their roof."

But it hasn't all been bad for the residents of the famous house, says the Hollywood Reporter.

In 2013, the owner of the home said most of the fans were respectful, and added she was a huge fan of the show.

"Last month we had 404 cars here that I saw," she said. "We've met people from all over the world, and it's been amazing."
