Man gets head stuck in washing machine
Firefighters have freed a man who got his head stuck in a washing machine. It took emergency workers in China about 40 minutes to free the man, who had become trapped when he tried to get a closer look inside the appliance while attempting repairs, the Fujian Fire Department said. The crew cut through the appliance using power tools to free the man, who was uninjured during the ordeal.
Toddler solves Rubik's Cube in 47 seconds
Three-year-old Hong Yan Chan stunned officials at an international Rubik's Cube competition by solving the puzzle in just 47 seconds. Video footage of the remarkable feat was uploaded to a YouTube channel. Her older brother, Chan Hong Lik, also made headlines late last year by solving a cube in 8.72 seconds, at the age of seven.
Man defecates on supermarket checkout
An Ohio man has been arrested after he allegedly walked into a local supermarket, stripped naked and defecated on a self-checkout scanner. Police say 23-year-old Colin Murphy "smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and staggered as he walked". Murphy was released on $2,000 (£1,300) bail and ordered not to return to the supermarket.
