Tank crashes into Polish nightclub

A nightclub owner in the Polish town of Szubin is picking up the pieces after a live-streamed publicity stunt went awry. The 38-year-old was practising at the wheel of a large tank, which was to have been used as a prop for a military-themed party, when he lost control and crashed into the front doors of his club. Police found that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

Live spider trapped in woman's ear

A woman from Porthcawl, Wales, had a close call with Mother Nature when her husband discovered a live spider in her ear. After a night of excruciating pain, Victoria Price asked her husband to check for signs of infection. "There's something alive in there," he said, before taking her to hospital. A nurse used forceps to extract the spider, which was still alive. Price said medical staff had checked very thoroughly to make sure the spider had not laid any eggs.

Residents call for 'adult baby' store to close

Chicago residents have demanded the closure of a business that caters for "adult baby diaper lovers". The business, called Tykables, features a nursery with adult-sized baby furniture, including a rocking horse and a seven-foot-tall crib. The store allows customers in only by appointment, and its owner says that the doors are locked and the windows blocked at all times. "It's a business that many people find at best distasteful, but that is legal," local officials said.
