Banned from having a pizza the action...

A man has been banned by a judge from ordering pizzas in Florida after he went on an 18-day spree of harassing local restaurants. According to court reports, 49-year-old Randy Riddle made hundreds of phone calls to all the pizza outlets in his area - and then direct delivery people to fake or vacant addresses, refuse to pay or merely tell the businesses "their pizza was gross". He also frequently called local police, the council and the state health department of Health about the quality of the pizzas.

Home invasion stopped with a bong

A man has reportedly prevented a violent home invasion by hitting the intruders with a bong. Police were called to the home in Brantford, in Canada's Ontario province, to investigate the attack and followed a trail of blood from the home to a nearby park. When they returned to the home, the man told police he had used the bong as a weapon, prompting the officers to search the home. They seized a large bag of marijuana and expect to lay charges against the man shortly.

Tourists lead police on 'accidental chase'

A family of Chinese tourists led San Diego police on an "accidental" car chase after they were spotted driving erratically on the highway. Officers say when they turned on their lights and sirens, the vehicle came to a stop in the middle lane of the highway, before driving off again for several miles. When the car eventually stopped, a woman emerged - only to be confronted by police with their weapons drawn. The police quickly established the driver was "not aware that lights and sirens means 'pull over'" and let the family off with a warning.
