In a perfect antidote to a post-truth world of disputed dossiers and mistrusted media, the Ultimate News Quiz returns this year with nothing but cold hard facts.

Bringing together the elite of broadcast news, the charity event pits teams from the BBC, Sky and ITV against each other in the country's toughest current affairs contest. More than professional pride will be at stake: previous prizes have included such treasures as life-sized cardboard cut-outs of the major party leaders.
