Henrikh Mkhitaryan - Manchester United to Arsenal, swap: as part of the deal that saw Alexis Sanchez join Manchester United, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has joined the Gunners. The Armenian international, 29, scored 13 goals in 63 games for United

Leon Goretzka - Schalke to Bayern Munich, free: the highly-rated midfielder will join Bayern on a free transfer in the summer after signing a pre-contract agreement and passing a medical

Virgil van Dijk - Southampton to Liverpool, £75m: the Dutch central defender has been a long-term transfer target for Liverpool and he finally sealed his move on 27 December for £75m. The fee is the most ever paid for a defender

Adrien Silva - Sporting Lisbon to Leicester City, £22m: Silva had signed for Leicester on deadline day during the summer transfer window, but because the paperwork arrived too late it was not until 1 January when the deal was completed. After a four-month wait the Portuguese midfielder finally made his Leicester debut in the 3-0 win over Huddersfield on New Year’s Day

Diego Costa - Chelsea to Atletico Madrid, undisclosed fee: Costa completed his return to Atletico Madrid in September but had to wait until 1 January to be registered by the La Liga side. Atletico president Enrique Cerezo welcomed Costa “home” by calling the Spanish striker an “extraordinary player and great friend”

Ahmed Hegazi - Al Ahly to West Bromwich Albion, undisclosed: West Brom have signed the Egyptian international defender on a permanent deal after he joined on loan during the summer

Terence Kongolo - Monaco to Huddersfield Town, loan: Netherlands defender Terence Kongolo joins the Terriers on a loan deal until the end of the season. Kongolo, 23, joined Monaco from Feyenoord for £13.38m last summer and can play at centre or left back

Ross Barkley - Everton to Chelsea, £15m: the England midfielder turned down a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer but it is now confirmed that he has signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with the London club

Cenk Tosun, Besiktas to Everton, £27m: the Turkish international striker arrives at Goodison Park after signing a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Toffees. He scored 20 league goals for Besiktas last season

Philippe Coutinho, Liverpool to Barcelona, £142m: the Brazilian’s long-awaited move to the Camp Nou has been confirmed after a £142m deal was agreed between the two clubs

Kevin Mirallas - Everton to Olympiakos, loan: the 30-year-old Belgium international has rejoined the Greek club on loan. Mirallas, who played more than 50 games for Olympiakos between 2010 and 2012, was mobbed on his return

Konstantinos Mavropanos - PAS Giannina to Arsenal, £1.8m: the 20-year-old central defender has played 16 matches in the Greek Super League and will be loaned out by Arsenal to gain further first-team experience

Moritz Bauer - Rubin Kazan to Stoke City, undisclosed fee: the Austrian right-back has signed for Stoke City for an undisclosed fee. Bauer, who has won four caps for Austria, has penned a four-and-a-half-year contract

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou - Tottenham to Burnley, loan: the 22-year-old winger joins Sean Dyche’s side on loan until the end of the season. Before signing for Spurs he played for Nantes and Marseille

Francis Coquelin - Arsenal to Valencia, £12m: the French midfielder rejected West Ham United and Crystal Palace to sign for La Liga side Valencia. The Spanish club confirmed the 26-year-old had signed a four-and-a-half year contract

Theo Walcott - Arsenal to Everton, £20m: England forward Walcott, 28, has signed for the Toffees on a three-and-a-half-year contract. He said: “I’ve come to Everton because I want the club to push to the next level.”

Alex Pritchard - Norwich City to Huddersfield Town, £12m: the midfielder has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Huddersfield after they paid Norwich a fee of £12m

Jurgen Locadia - PSV Eindhoven to Brighton & Hove Albion, £14.1m: Brighton have signed the PSV forward for a club record fee of £14.1m. The Dutchman has penned a four-and-a-half-year contract at the Amex Stadium

Guido Carrillo - Monaco to Southampton, £19m: the 26-year-old Argentine striker signs for the Saints in a club record transfer. He has also signed a contract until 2021

Alexis Sanchez - Arsenal to Manchester United, swap deal: the Chilean striker has finally joined United after signing a contract worth a reported £500,000 a week. The deal also sees Henrikh Mkhitaryan go to the Emirates

Kenedy - Chelsea to Newcastle United, loan: the Brazilian winger has signed for Newcastle on loan until the end of the season

Joao Mario - Inter Milan to West Ham United, loan: the Portuguese international midfielder has signed for the Hammers on loan until the end of the season. The 25-year-old was part of Portugal’s Euro 2016-winning team

Leonardo Ulloa - Leicester City to Brighton & Hove Albion, loan: Brighton have signed Leonardo Ulloa on loan until the end of the season from Leicester. Ulloa previously played for the Seagulls and scored 26 goals in 58 games for the club

Gerard Deulofeu - Barcelona to Watford, loan: the Barcelona winger, who previously played in the Premier League for Everton, signs for the Hornets on loan until 30 June
