Samsung has accidentally leaked details about its upcoming Galaxy Note 9 after posting a pre-order page for the smartphone on its website.

Revealed by VentureBeat’s Evan Blass on Twitter, the now-removed product page invites customers to pre-order the Note 9, along with the tag line: “We’ve unpacked our most powerful phone yet, now you can be one of the first to experience it.”

But the product leaks didn’t stop there, as Samsung’s New Zealand arm inadvertently posted a preview video for the Note 9, according to tech blog SamMobile.

In the video, which is reportedly official, Samsung confirms that the new smartphone comes with a battery that can last “all-day” and 512GB of storage as standard - significantly more than the majority of top-tier smartphones.

However, Engadget says the Note 9 will also support an additional 512GB of storage through a microSD card slot. This means the Note 9 will be one of the first mobiles to offer 1TB of storage.

Details about the Galaxy Note 9 remain scarce, although the tech site says Sumsung is gearing up to officially unveil the smartphone on 9 August at its “Unpacked” event in New York.

It’s by no means the first time Samsung has let slip details about an upcoming product before an unveiling event.

In February, the launch video for the Galaxy S9 was leaked the day before the smartphone was supposed to be officially launched, showcasing the S9’s tweaked design and detailing its new features, The Verge says.

The company also let slip a new Galaxy Watch product on its website last week before swiftly taking the listing down.
