Rum Old Fashioned recipe: the perfect winter warmer
Premium Jamaican rum-maker Appleton Estate share their winning formula
With the long evenings drawing ever nearer, it’s time to stock up dark spirits and learn how to whip up the perfect winter warmer.
To celebrate the return of their Crafted with Joy workshop series, premium Jamaican rum-maker Appleton Estate has shared the recipe for their version of a classic cocktail, the Old Fashioned.
Over four evenings at sessions around London, rum aficionados can sip an expertly crafted cocktail while trying their hand at blacksmithing, woodwork or candle-making (because why not?) under the tutelage of some of the capital’s finest urban artisans. Guests even get a souvenir to take home, created with their own hands. Read on for more information on how to get involved.
Be sure also to try this rum-infused twist on the Old Fashioned, made using Appleton Estate Rare Blend 12 Year Old, a blend of hand-selected, golden rums aged for a smooth yet complex taste.
