US president’s former lawyer says Trump planned to meet Putin during campaign

Donald Trump reportedly directed Michael Cohen to lie to Congress over Trump Tower Moscow

Donald Trump instructed his former personal lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen, to lie to Congress about negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Moscow, according to a report by Buzzfeed News.

Citing two law enforcement officials involved in the investigation, Buzzfeed also says that Trump “supported a plan, set up by Cohen, to visit Russia during the presidential campaign, in order to personally meet President Vladimir Putin”.
