2. Philips Water ADD4902BK/10 GoZero
This minimalist 1-litre soda maker injects a consistently high volume of carbon dioxide per press, without the need for power. It’s fast, and is simple to use, clean and store.
3. Mysoda Woody sparkling water maker
Made from a renewable wood composite, in a range of colours, this one comes with a 1-litre drinking bottle. Each press produces a consistent amount of CO₂, but it is a little larger than some models. Testers reported that the fizziness seemed to fade in the mouth, which some people might like.

4. Aarke Carbonator 3 with copper finish
This Swedish-designed carbonator is not the quickest machine, but it offers consistent results and has a handy alert to let you know when your water is done.
5. SodaStream Art
Easy to use, this quiet, premium soda maker has “Quick Connect” technology for fast cylinder insertion. With this one, you pull the lever to get the fizz. The Hydration Kit Plus version includes six bottles of flavour concentrate and two dishwasher-safe bottles.
6. Mixology Mesh Soda Syphon
If you’re low on countertop space, the mesh soda syphon, running on small CO2 cartridges, might be a good choice. Easily stored in a cupboard, it makes a litre of sparkling water at a time, which you can then siphon directly into your glass.
