This sleek cleaner comes with attachments, including an extra battery which doubles cleaning time to two hours. At 3.6kg, it is heavier than most, but it makes up for it in suction power.

Excellent for pet hair, with angled fins and anti-hairwrap technology, this vacuum also comes with two batteries (two hours’ total runtime). But at 4.6kg, it is heavy. 

A significant outlay at over £600, this excellent Dyson is light (at 2.7kg), but still has powerful suction. It has a laser in the head to illuminate dust, a 60-minute battery life, and a range of attachments.

The H-Free has a lithium-ion battery that lasts for 40 minutes and can be converted into a handheld for spot cleaning. At just 2.5kg, it’s lightweight and compact, with simple controls.
