Pogba wants ‘new challenge’
Paul Pogba is considering leaving Manchester United after declaring that it’s time for a “new challenge”.
Speaking during a promotional tour in Tokyo, Pogba told reporters: “I am thinking of this: to have a new challenge somewhere else.
“For me, I have been for three years in Manchester and have been doing great; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. Like everywhere else.
“After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well... I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge.”
The French midfielder’s comments have not gone down well at Old Trafford, says the Daily Mail, and United will not sell him unless they receive an “astronomical offer”.
The Daily Star reports that Pogba, who is linked with Real Madrid and former club Juventus, is on a “collision course” with United over his future.
It’s claimed that United will slap a £150m price tag on the 26-year-old.
‘Apollo’ Fury stars in Vegas
Boxer Tyson Fury “dazzled” on his Las Vegas debut, says the Daily Mirror, after stopping Tom Schwarz in the second round.
Taking inspiration from Apollo Creed of the Rocky films, Fury stepped into the ring wearing the US stars and stripes and was accompanied by James Brown’s Living in America.
After his victory over Schwarz the Daily Star reports that the “Gypsy King” could face Jarrell Miller in his next fight.
Miller missed out on a title bout against Anthony Joshua after failing three drugs tests, but the Brooklyn brawler is now being considered for a fight against Fury in New York on 5 October.
