A round up of the sport headlines from UK newspapers on 18 June
New deals for Pogba and Rashford?
The Daily Mail reports that Manchester United will offer unsettled star Paul Pogba £500,000-a-week to stay at Old Trafford.
French midfielder Pogba admitted this week that it “may be time for a new challenge” and the Mail says that “frantic” United bosses are preparing a mega-money contract.
Pogba has been linked with Real Madrid and Juventus, but according to the Independent Paris Saint-Germain are willing to give the World Cup winner a way out of Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, The Times says that United are set to be given a huge boost with the news that England striker Marcus Rashford is ready to sign a long-term deal with his boyhood club.
Frank’s first battle
Frank Lampard is yet to be named Chelsea’s new manager but already he has a to-do list at Stamford Bridge.
His first battle, says the Daily Mirror and Daily Star, is to try and keep hold of Willian. The Brazilian winger is reportedly wanted by Barcelona in a £35m deal.
Despite claims that Lampard will replace Maurizio Sarri the Metro reports that Derby County are yet to hear from Chelsea about a move for their manager.
