England’s cricketers still have a presence on the back pages as the physios attempt to patch up their World Cup heroes in time for the Ashes. Jofra Archer, Mark Wood and Jimmy Anderson are all fighting injuries ahead of the showdown with Australia, But Stuart Broad is ready to join the action against Ireland in the warm-up Test next week.
Remember football? Well it’s inching back into the public’s consciousness as Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer announces that he wants Paul Pogba to stay at Old Trafford, while Spurs defender Kieran Trippier moves closer to a move to Atletico Madrid.
