Today’s back pages: Paul Pogba and Man Utd pay the penalty
A round up of the sport headlines from UK newspapers on Tuesday 20 August
Manchester United missed out on the chance to go top of the Premier League table after being held to a 1-1 draw by Wolves last night.
Anthony Martial had given United a 27th-minute lead at Molineux but Wolves hit back ten minutes into the second-half when Ruben Neves scored a wonderful curling effort from outside of the box.
After being fouled by Conor Coady on 67 minutes, Paul Pogba stepped up to take a penalty but his effort was saved by Wolves keeper Rui Patricio low to his right.
United were left “sick as a Pog”, says the Daily Express and Daily Mirror, with the Frenchman now missing four penalties in the Premier League since the start of last season.
