In a dramatic shoot-out at the Bridge Eric Dier and Lucas Moura missed from the spot for Spurs. David Luiz then stepped up to send Chelsea to Wembley.
Pep Guardiola’s City side thrashed Burton Albion 10-0 on aggregate in the other semi-final and they will be aiming to defend the trophy they won last year.
Ahead of the league cup final on Sunday 24 February we look at the early betting odds. City are the slight favourites to lift the trophy according to the bookies but a draw would seem to be a likely outcome from what will be a closely-fought encounter.
Should the final end in a draw the Daily Express reports that the game would go to extra-time at Wembley.
