Transfer news and rumours: Aubameyang, Salah, Dzeko, Sturridge

The latest transfer gossip from the world’s football media

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Borussia Dortmund to Arsenal Olivier Giroud: Arsenal to Borussia Dortmund

With Alexis Sanchez’s transfer to Manchester United finally confirmed yesterday and Henrikh Mkhitaryan moving in the opposite direction, the news this morning focuses on another potential swap deal involving Arsenal. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has told Sky Sports that the club are in talks with Borussia Dortmund over the signing of striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. However, the Daily Mirror reports that Dortmund are demanding Olivier Giroud in part-exchange or they “will put the deal off until the summer”.

Mohamed Salah: Liverpool to Real Madrid

Egyptian FA president Hany Abo Rida believes Real Madrid will make a move for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah. Quoted by the Liverpool Echo, Rida said: “Real Madrid will make an offer for Salah during the summer. Salah is now looking to improve his game. Obviously if an Egyptian plays for a club as popular around the world as Real Madrid, it’s going to be great for Egyptian football.”

Aymeric Laporte: Athletic Bilbao to Manchester City

Athletic Bilbao’s French defender Aymeric Laporte is a target for Manchester City and the Premier League leaders are prepared to meet the £60million release clause in his contract, The Sun reports. Laporte is under contract until 2020, but City boss Pep Guardiola sees the 23-year-old as an ideal addition to his defensive options.

Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri: Roma to Chelsea

Roma defender Emerson Palmieri has agreed a move to Chelsea, says The Daily Telegraph, and the next deal between the two clubs could be for striker Edin Dzeko. Chelsea reportedly have a transfer policy of not paying fees for outfield players over the age of 30, but Dzeko, who turns 32 in March, could be heading to Stamford Bridge in a £44m double deal with Palmieri.

Daniel Sturridge: Liverpool to Roma

If Edin Dzeko does leave for Chelsea then Roma will turn their attentions to signing Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge, the Daily Star reports. Inter Milan are also interested in signing England striker Sturridge, who is out of favour at Anfield.

Jonny Evans: West Brom to Manchester City/Arsenal

Sky Sports News understands that Jonny Evans has a £3m relegation release clause in his contract at West Brom. The Northern Ireland defender, who is a target for Manchester City and Arsenal, has 18 months left on his current deal at West Brom.

Lucas Moura: Paris Saint-Germain to Tottenham/Manchester United

PSG winger Lucas Moura admits he is “not happy” in France. Sky Sports reports that the Brazilian has made only six appearances this season and is keen to leave the French giants. Spurs and Manchester United have both been interested in signing the 25-year-old. Moura said: “I’m gutted that I’m no longer playing, to no longer be able to express myself as I was doing before. I’m not happy. I thought I’d built something solid with this club, but that’s clearly not the case.”
