The UK’s political parties have been vying for the spotlight this week as conference season gathered pace.

Keir Starmer made his key-note speech at the closing of the Labour’s annual conference in Brighton, where the embattled leader was heckled by left-wing activists. In a bid to convince his party that he could lead them to election victory, Starmer set out his priorities for a Labour government: “work, care, equality and security”.
