Two passengers and a service dog exited a flight via the emergency slide as it was preparing for takeoff at LaGuardia Airport in New York earlier this week. “During flight 462’s taxi-out at LaGuardia, a party of two opened a cabin door and exited the aircraft via the slide,” a statement from Delta said. The two passengers were later charged with offences, including criminal mischief.
Cinema offers gondola screenings
A cinema in the Philippines is offering customers the chance to watch films as they bob in socially distanced gondolas. Gondoliers in striped uniforms steer and position each boat in an outdoor canal to watch films. Guests bring their own earphones and listen to audio broadcast at a special radio frequency.
Truck spills thousands of cheese balls
A lorry hauling 20,000 pounds of cheese balls has overturned in Maryland, spilling the snack across lanes of traffic. The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration said a sand truck was called in to clean up the cheesy mess. Two lanes were temporarily closed during the operation.
