Woman arrested for not returning VHS hired 20 years ago

A US woman is facing felony embezzlement charges for not returning a VHS tape of Sabrina The Witch allegedly rented more than two decades ago. Recalling her arrest, Caron McBride, who denies ever renting the tape, said: “I thought I was gonna have a heart attack.” Online documents show McBride was charged with felony embezzlement of rented property in March of 2000. Having lost several jobs over the past 20 years, she now believes this is because her employers ran a background check on her.

Hundreds of Joshes fight in park

Hundreds of people have gathered in a US park for a brawl to find out who is the rightful owner of the name Josh. The Joshes armed themselves with foam pool noodles to battle each other after first playing a game of rock, paper, scissors. Josh Swain, who organised the event in Nebraska, said he was surprised so many people turned up. “I did not expect people to be as adamant about this as they are right now,” he said.

Woman glues eye shut

A Michigan woman glued her eye shut after she mistook a bottle of nail glue for eye drops. Yacedrah Williams said she awoke during the night and wanted to take her contact lenses out because her eyes were dry. Reaching inside her purse, she grabbed what she believed to be eye drops but was in fact a similarly sized white bottle of nail glue. When she discovered her mistake she was rushed to hospital where doctors reopened her eye.
