Life-sized Monopoly coming to London
And other stories from the stranger side of life
A full-sized version of Monopoly is coming to the UK in August, in the form of a “4D experience” that allows people to play on a giant 15m x 15m board. Staged at a venue on Tottenham Court Road in London, Monopoly Lifesized will also hand fans the opportunity to buy Hasbro-related merchandise and eat at The Top Hat - a Monopoly-themed bar and restaurant.
US navy pilots ‘saw UFOs every day’
A former US navy pilot says flight crews saw UFOs in restricted airspace off Virginia every day for years. Ryan Graves says he and his colleagues spotted the objects hundreds of times in protected air space between 2015 and 2017. They also recorded an encounter off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida. Graves described the objects he saw as a threat to national security.

Cat survives major fall
A cat has jumped out of a fifth-floor window during an apartment fire in Englewood, Chicago, and survived the fall. A video shows the black cat stick its head out of one of the broken windows and then jump. Although onlookers gasped, the cat landed on all four feet with a bounce on the grass and then ran off. The cat has been missing ever since.
