A woman missed out on an £18m lottery jackpot after accidentally washing her ticket. The unnamed woman says she matched all six numbers after purchasing the ticket from a shop in Los Angeles. The store manager has CCTV evidence of her coming into the shop and buying the winning ticket, but lottery rules state you must have a photo of the front and back of your ticket if it is lost.
Passenger snorted white substance on plane
An airline passenger is in trouble after he snorted a white substance on a flight, refused to wear a mask and acted aggressively towards other passengers and crew members. The man was travelling on a JetBlue flight from New York to San Francisco - until his behaviour caused its diversion to Minneapolis-St Paul, where the man was arrested.
Bombs found on Solomon Islands
More than 100 unexploded Second World War bombs have been discovered in a backyard of a home in Honiara, the capital of Solomon Islands in the south Pacific. The 101 shells were found by a man who was digging a hole for a new septic system at his home. Earlier this month, two men were killed when a Second World War bomb exploded in a residential area in Honiara.
