A “UFO expert” believes that the truth about the Roswell incident could soon be revealed. Rony Vernet says pledges for more transparency about aliens from the authorities mean the “true reality” of the much discussed episode could be released. On 8 July, 1947 numerous witnesses say they saw an unidentified flying object crash into a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. Despite an official explanation that it was a US air force balloon, many continue to think that aliens crash-landed in the southern state.

South Korean toilet turns poo into power

A toilet in South Korean is able to excrement into power. The BeeVi toilet breaks down the waste to methane, which becomes a source of energy for a building, powering gas stoves, hot-water boilers and solid oxide fuel cells. “If we think out of the box, faeces has precious value,” said its designer, Cho Jae-weon.

Missing mall python found

A 12-foot Burmese python that went missing from a mall aquarium has been found. Cara was discovered “safe and healthy” after a search that had closed the Blue Zoo aquarium at the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge for several days. Burmese pythons are non-venomous snakes that kill prey including small mammals, birds and reptiles but present a low risk to humans.
