Slipping into fresh bedding, receiving an unexpected pay rise at work and being served first at the bar are among life’s little victories, according to a poll of 2,000 Britons. The list of 50 little wins also includes finding money down the back of the sofa, arriving at a packed car park just as another driver leaves and being allowed to leave work early. A researcher said: “It’s interesting to see that achieving even one little victory is enough to make anyone’s day better.”
