If you want to get to the end of this story then read it quickly because a new study has warned that once-in-a-century solar storm could plunge the world into an “internet apocalypse”. Once in about 80-100 years, due to the Sun’s natural life cycle, solar winds escalate into superstorms that could cause internet outages covering the entire Earth lasting several months, according to the University of California.

Bishop falls in love with satanic-erotic author 

Catholic priests in Spain fear that a Spanish bishop who has fallen in love with an author of satanic-themed erotic fiction has been possessed by the devil. Xavier Novell, 52, has embarked on a relationship with Silvia Caballol, a psychologist and writer of erotic novels, leading him to set aside his vow of celibacy. A church colleague said it was “not a problem of celibacy but rather of infestation”.

‘Killer fish’ tackle disease in India

Thousands of “killer fish” have been released into ponds and lakes in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh to stop a deadly outbreak of dengue fever. The disease is spread by mosquitoes, which breed by laying eggs in standing water. Each gambusia - or mosquitofish - can eat up to 150 mosquito larvae in just eight hours. The mosquito-killing fish have already helped control the insects in Delhi.
