Is there more than one Loch Ness monster?
And other stories from the stranger side of life
A Loch Ness monster hunter says Nessie is not alone in her watery lair. Eoin O Faodhagain, who has spent the last 34 years trying to spot the infamous beast, believes that in his “best sighting yet” he saw something mysteriously dip beneath underwater when a cruise ship sailed towards it. He added that: He said: “I believe there are unknown creatures or an unknown species in the Loch.”
Wise men given Covid passes
Covid passes have been added to a nativity scene in Naples featuring the three wise men. Last year was the year of the masks, so the figurines of Mary, Joseph and the three wise men were wearing masks,” said craftsman Marco Ferrigno. “This year it seemed like the right thing to keep following this direction.” A tourist who saw the scene said: “We all have the pass. Why shouldn’t the three wise men?”

Bees halt cricket match
A swarm of bees has brought a premature end to a cricket match in New Zealand. The Guardian said that players and umpires “dropped like flies” as they took cover from the descending bees on the opening day of the Plunket Shield match between Wellington and Canterbury. A coach said: “We saw everyone drop and we weren’t really sure what was going on. After 30 or 40 seconds between us we figured out there were some bees out there floating around.”
