Seals found to feed on sharks

Scientists said they were “blown away” to find that leopard seals feed on sharks. The discovery makes New Zealand leopard seals part of a tiny club of marine predators that do so. The study found shark remains in the waste of leopard seals, and visible signs of struggle with sharks on seals’ bodies, indicating the marine mammals actively predate on sharks.

South Korea plans car-free city

Plans for a car-free “ten-minute city”, in which everything is within walking distance, have been unveiled in South Korea. The 504,000 square metre development, entitled Project H1, will be situated at a former industrial site near mountains in Seoul. The miniature metropolis will include eight residential towers of varying heights alongside parks, a hotel, a cinema, library and co-working offices.

‘Bigfoot’ spotted in Australia

Three forest workers claim they spotted a Bigfoot-like creature while on their way home in a remote town in Australia. Seamus FitzGerald and his two friends were driving back from work when they caught sight of an “ape-like” figure at the side of the road. FitzGerald claimed the mysterious creature, with dark red fur, stood up and looked at them. The experience stayed with them. Seamus said: “I hardly slept that night.”
